      American Memory — from the Library of Congress: American Memory is a gateway to rich primary source materials relating to the history and culture of the United States. The site offers more than 7 million digital items from more than 100 historical collections.
      Biographical Directory of the United States Congress: From 1774 to the present. Presents a biographical sketch and directs you to further reading and the locations of research materials.
      Born in Slavery: Slave Narratives: Contains more than 2,300 first-person accounts of slavery and 500 black-and-white photographs of former slaves. These narratives were collected in the 1930s.
      Decisions of US Courts of Appeal on the Net: Includes a nice explanation of the U.S. Court System. Also included is a way cool map of the U.S.A. showing each circuit court. Hyperlinks enable you to click on the map and get local decisions by year.
